Following the recent report from the International Energy Agency (IEA) that for the first time, there are more renewable energy jobs, globally, than fossil fuel, I thought I would look for a few renewable energy companies that are hiring. So here we go, here are 9 European renewable energy companies who are hiring now.

1 GreenWish Partners

GreenWish Partners is a French company that focuses on investing in renewable energy projects in Europe and Africa. They are currently hiring for an Investment Manager position.

2 Enel Green Power

Enel Green Power is an Italian company that develops, builds, and operates power plants that use renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and biomass. They are currently hiring for a Project Manager position.

3 EDF Renewables UK

EDF Renewables UK is the UK subsidiary of French energy company EDF SA. They develop, build, operate, and maintain wind farms throughout the United Kingdom. They are currently hiring for a Business Development Manager position.

5 Iberdrola Renovables

Iberdrola Renovables is the renewable energy subsidiary of Spanish utility company Iberdrola SA. They develop, build, operate, and maintain wind farms throughout Europe, America, Asia, and Africa.They are currently hiring for an Operations Manager position.

6 RWE Renewables

RWE Renewables is the renewables arm of German utility company RWE AG. They develop offshore and onshore wind farms as well as solar parks around the world. They are currently hiring for a Business Development Manager position plus many others.

7 Vattenfall

Vattenfall is a Swedish electricity company that supplies power to consumers in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, France, and Great Britain. They also have operations in wind power, solar power, hydroelectricity, and biomass. They are currently hiring for an Asset Manager position amongst others.

Engie is a French multinational electric utility company that focuses on low-carbon energy generation and selling electricity and gas to consumers. The company has over 150 years of experience in the energy sector and operates in 70 countries around the world and has many open roles.

9 Fortum Oyj

Fortum Oyj is a Finnish power company with almost 80 years of experience generating electricity. The company primarily operates within Finland but also has presence in Sweden, Norway, Poland & India. Fortum have 42 open vacancies at the time of writing.
