Technology and SDG 3 – Good Health
Introduction and definition of SDG 3:
SDG 3, Good Health aims to help people live healthy lives, promoting well-being for all, no matter what age.
In 2017 less than half of the global population had access to essential physical and mental health services. Prior to 2019, an estimated 927 million people paid the equivalent of more than 10% of their household income to access essential medical care.
This goal addresses in reproductive, maternal and child health areas, as well as infections diseases, non-communicable diseases (cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes or chronic respiratory disease), mental health and environmental risks. It also has targets for health systems and funding.
