Necpaly – Tranquility and time to open your mind
I’m sitting on a wooden bench, with the sun on my back looking up over green trees, passed the sheep, up the mountain to whips of white clouds in an otherwise blue sky.
I hear the footsteps of the sheep, tumbling water from a near by waterfall, a few chirps from birds and the occasional hum of insects.
I’m in Necpaly, Slovakia.
The villages of Slovakia are an intoxicating blend of beauty and decay, Necpaly is no different. With a history that dates back to the 13th century, some of the buildings were last touched by the Turks.
